The Butts County Fall Festival, long a favorite annual event held on the downtown Jackson Square, will return this year on October 23rd, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM, promising a fun-filled day of family entertainment, arts, crafts and food!

The festival will feature arts and crafts, hand-made items, Georgia Made/Grown products, local food, antiques, furniture, jewelry, gardening/horticulture, area business promotions, entertainment and tourism information in a family-friendly atmosphere.

For as long as anyone can remember, Butts County has usually had some type of fall festival, held in the month of October and for most of its history, it was held on the downtown square, although for some years it was also held at the county fairground. It stopped briefly for a few years and then came back as the Jackson Alive Festival 11 years ago. In 2018 the name was returned to the Butts County Fall Festival and after being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID 19, the Chamber of Commerce wants to bring back the enjoyment and fun of a full-blown Fall Festival and all that goes along with it.

The downtown square has become well-known as the location featured in the Netflix TV show “Stranger Things” that premiered in 2016 and has shot four seasons in downtown Jackson now, along with other productions such as “Zombieland 2” and “Burden”.
