🎄 Christmas Tour of Homes is December 7 and 8

The Butts County Historical Society will kick off their annual Holiday Extravaganza and Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 7th, 2019, continuing through Sunday, December 8th. This year, they have put together an awesome list of homes and buildings that are local favorites and featured as part of the annual Christmas Tour of Homes, which will run both days from 1PM to 5PM, including:

Indian Springs Hotel-Indian Springs
Indian Springs Chapel-Indian Springs
McMichael House-Indian Springs
Holloway House-Indian Springs
Hoard House-Indian Springs
Indian Springs Resort-Indian Springs
Idlewilde House-Indian Springs Park
W.F. Smith House-Flovilla
and more!

All proceeds will be used for the ongoing Flovilla Schoolhouse Dinner Theater restoration, which is also on the tour!

Tickets are only $15.00 and include all locations above. They may be purchased from any Historical Society Member OR on site at:

But there is more!

On Saturday, December 7th, come down and join the Village at Indian Springs as they kick off the Christmas Holiday Season with Youth Choral Programs beginning at 2:00 PM in the beautiful Village Amphitheater…then watch the entire Village come alive with the Lighting of the Lights at 5:30. All shops will be open and decorated, with Holidays items for sale! Plus hot chocolate and cookies and more!

He enjoys working in community advocacy, promoting his community and enhancing tourism opportunities in his region. He is the owner, writer and publisher for this website on local tourism and curates a large collection of photographs and historical records that chronicle much of the history of the county. Most recently, he served as the Project Restoration Director for the Historic 1898 Butts County Courthouse Rehabilitation Project, leading the interior restoration project which was completed in early 2021. He is member of the Society of Architectural Historians, which promotes the study, interpretation and conservation of architecture, design, landscapes, and urbanism worldwide for the benefit of all.
