People are starting to take notice of things happening in Jackson, including Southern Living Magazine, which just published their list of the “Prettiest Small Towns in Georgia, with Jackson featured prominently at number 5. The list of 16, all towns with populations under 20,000, included such notable tourist destinations as Madison and Helen, as well as the neighboring town of Covington. The article cited local eateries and shops, as well as mentioning two favorite outdoor recreational locations, Jackson Lake and Indian Springs State Park.
