The 8th Annual Jackson Alive Fall Festival and Halloween on Second street is coming back to the downtown square in Jackson on Saturday, October 28th.

Beginning at 9AM and sponsored by the Butts County Chamber of Commerce, the festival focuses on arts & crafts, handmade items, Georgia made & Georgia Grown food items, prepared food, antiques, gardening, farmers market, children’s activities, and information & demonstrations. The downtown square will feature many vendors and activities for kids and adults, including live musical performances and a parade at midday.

The downtown square has become well-known as the location featured in the Netflix TV show “Stranger Things” that premiered last year and has shot two seasons in downtown Jackson now. See the stores used for the various businesses of the fictional “Hawkins, Indiana” featured in the hit TV series!

Although the festival itself ends at 4PM, stick around for the evening and bring your costumes…because at 6PM, the square will be transformed into Halloween on Second Street, from the square to the old Carmichael Mansion. Candy will be given out to trick-or-treaters, provided by the local downtown merchants and others. It’s a great place to take your kids for safe and supervised trick-or-treating, courtesy of the Chamber and the Downtown Jackson Merchants!
