Do you love Georgia barbecue? How about Cornhole tournaments? Jenkinsburg’s 2nd annual fall festival recently featured both a BBQ Competition Cookoff, Cornhole Tournament, boiled peanuts for sale, arts & crafts, hand-made items, children activities, demonstrations, and lots more.
Live entertainment was featured at the event, which took place in the Memorial Park behind City Hall and the Fire Station and many came and spent the day in Jenkinsburg for fun, food and lots of things to see and do.
Entry fees for those who participated in the BBQ Cookoff and a chance to win a trophy was $25.00. The Cornhole Tournament entry fee was also $25.00, with cash prizes awarded to the winners. All proceeds went toward a new special needs park planned in Jenkinsburg.
The event was very successful and will likely return next year for a third round. Check back here early in September of 2018 for the dates!
