On February 23rd, 2017 at 11:30 AM, the organization “Partners for Smart Growth” hosted Craig Dominey, Senior Film Location Specialist and Georgia Camera Ready Program Manager for the Georgia Film Office for a special presentation on the impact of film in our county and community. Bringing with him years of experience in the Georgia film industry, Mr. Dominey knows what communities have and need that the movie and television industry are looking for and highlighted some of the things that make for a successful film community. He was introduced by local Camera Ready Liaison for the State Film Office, Michael Brewer.

The meeting was open to the general public and was well attended, drawing community film representatives from several surrounding counties and citizens to learn of the ways that the film industry can positively impact the community, its image and its tourism potential.

Partners for Smart Growth is a community organization that brings together leaders in business, community service, government, industry and interested citizens to promote quality growth strategy for Butts County.
